How do I setup TMA-2 Studio Wireless?

Slide the speaker units onto the headband, then connect in one of three ways: W+ Link with the X03 Transmitter for making music, Bluetooth® for your phone, or the cable.

Before you start

In the box: S11 Speaker Units (2), X03 Transmitter, E04 Earpads (2), H03 Headband, C05 Cable with 6.3 mm adapter, A01 Protective pouch and an Ableton Live Lite license.

If the speaker units or the transmitter are low on battery, charge them with a USB-C charger. A full charge takes 2 hours.

Steps

Put the headphones together

1. Slide the right speaker unit onto the right side of the headband, and the left one onto the left side.
2. Check that each speaker unit sits upright. If one is upside down, the sound can be wrong.
3. Attach the earpads.

Connect to the X03 Transmitter (W+ Link)

W+ Link has under 10 ms of latency, so use it when you play or produce music.

1. Connect X03 to your audio source through its mini-jack input or USB-C.
2. With X03 off, hold its button for 4 seconds until the LED flashes fast.
3. Turn S11 on: press and hold the joystick for 2 seconds.
4. Check that the S11 LED is white. If it is blue, double press the joystick to switch to W+ Link.
5. Hold the joystick to the right for 2 seconds until the LED flashes fast.
6. Wait for both LEDs to turn constant white. S11 and X03 are now paired.

Connect over Bluetooth

1. Turn S11 on: press and hold the joystick for 2 seconds.
2. Double press the joystick so the LED turns blue.
3. Hold the joystick to the right for 2 seconds until the LED flashes fast.
4. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone or computer and choose AIAIAI S11.
5. The LED turns constant blue when S11 is connected.

Use the cable

1. Turn S11 off.
2. Plug the cable into the left speaker unit and twist it to lock.

The USB-C port is for charging only. It doesn't carry audio.

Adjust the sound in the AIAIAI app

1. Download the AIAIAI app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Connect S11 to your phone over Bluetooth.
3. Open Sound Profiles and choose a preset, or set the 5-band EQ.

Your EQ settings also apply when you switch to W+ Link. More in the S11 EQ guide.

If it doesn't work

• The LED doesn't flash fast. From off, hold the joystick for 4 seconds. From on, hold it to the right for 2 seconds.
• It connects in the wrong mode. Double press the joystick. White is W+ Link, blue is Bluetooth.
• S11 turned itself off. It switches off after 10 minutes without a connection. Turn it on and connect again.
• It still won't pair. Clear the old pairings and start again. On S11, with the power on, hold the joystick to the right for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes 5 times. On X03, with the power off, hold the button for 8 seconds until the LED flashes 5 times.
• You only hear sound on one side. Please see Why can I hear sound in only one ear of my headphones?
