Why can I hear sound in only one ear of my headphones?

Modified on Mon, 13 Oct at 3:02 PM

If you are experiencing low or no sound on one or both sides of your headphones, please try the steps below:

Check your setup

Make sure that your headphones are correctly assembled and both speaker units are turned the right way. A loose or misaligned connection can cause sound issues.

Test each speaker unit

  • Unplug both speaker units from the headband
  • Connect your audio cable to one speaker unit at a time (see image below for reference).
  • Play some audio to check if each side works on its own

Swap sides

Please try and switch your speaker units around on the headband (L<-->R) to test if the sound issue persistently stays on the same side of the headband, or if it moves with the speaker unit.
